Spiritual Practice is Essential to Living Spiritually. We believe in the practical application of Spiritual Practice in our lives. We teach the following practices and encourage our community to use them.
SPIRITUAL PRACTICE
AFFIRMATIVE PRAYER
We practice the art of formalized Spiritual Mind Treatment, or affirmatively praying from the consciousness of God rather than to God. This powerful distinction is rooted in the belief that we are all part of a Sacred Divine energy with one purpose: CREATION!
SACRED SERVICE
The act of sacred service is giving of time and talent. A fundamental spiritual practice is being open to an answer to the question, “How can I help?” and then acting accordingly.
FORGIVENESS
The Buddha once said that, “Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.” Put this way, it makes a lot of sense. We can’t possibly feel better if we choose to hurt ourselves. Releasing blame, judgment, resentment and persecution frees us to live life fully and free of restraint.
VISIONING
A step-by-step process to allowing our Divine intuition to flow freely and trusting the answer to all our questions are available from this perspective. The spiritual practice of visioning will empower you to become more deeply acquainted with yourself and in taking your next evolutionary step in consciousness.
AFFIRMATIONS
By daily declaring our good we begin to establish a new tendency in our thinking process that supports only that good. The more we affirm the more we learn.
MEDITATION
We embrace various meditation practices. The art of meditation allows us to become routinely centered in the conscious awareness that we are immersed in and living from an Infinite intelligence.
GIVING AND RECEIVING
Participating joyfully in the flow of life is what giving and receiving is all about. It feels just as good to give as it does to receive and we encourage both. The sharing of our time, talent and treasure ensures that we are abundantly supported. Cultivating an attitude of giving requires flipping the illusion of not enough and learning how to gaze into the well-spring of our abundance.
GRATITUDE
“An attitude of gratitude is most salutary and bespeaks the realization that we are now in Heaven.” – Dr. Ernest Holmes. Gratitude is the gasoline in the engine of creation. Embodying gratitude is the quickest way to Divine living.
